Let’s help save our Philippine Eagles. One of our city’s icon PAG-ASA just turned 20 yrs old.
Pag-asa’s successful hatching in 1992 was considered a breakthrough, giving conservationists hope of beefing up the dwindling eagle population and leading to other successful hatching efforts in that year and the next.
At 20, Pag-asa is at the prime of his life, according to biologist Anna Mae Sumaya, the curator of the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) breeding program in Malagos here. (The oldest eagle at the eagle farm is 43 years old.) – from http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/

22nd Philippine Travel Mart is a well organized inbound travel sale event with the most extensive coverage of the tourism and travel industry in the Philippines. Davao City joined the Travel Mart by showcasing what the city has to offer. The City Tourism Office, tour operators, and DOTXI, gave the general public here in Metro Manila a taste of what Davao City life is through its beautiful pavilion.
Davao City and Davao Region were showcased through booths and exhibits – DOT Davao had its own booth, same as with other local resorts – such as Pearl Farm and Eden, and hotels such as Marco Polo. But one of the most visited booth in the Philippine Travel Mart is the eye candy, fruity Davao City Pavilion.
