For the past four years now, we had been featuring and announcing projects even before the official press releases.
You may have noticed that this site became silent for almost a quarter since the start of 2011. And updates are done not that often compared to our early years (2007-2010) Why? Though new constructions and projects are launched around the city today, one can already find these projects (if not all but most) featured on this blog weeks, months, and even a year before the official press releases or the actual constructions.
Take for example, Abreeza- the on going Ayala Mall construction which was featured over and over again on this site a year before its official press release. Robinsons Cybergate which we had announced months before it was announced in local dailies. Or the condominium projects in the city which we had featured months before they were launched. And ofcourse the upcoming SM Lanang complex which will be renamed soon by SM Land.
2011 is the time of waiting. But hey, there’s more! When you scroll down, you’d notice that the last blog post was last year discussing about the entry of highrise condos in the city. Well, as of this month, Alveo (the second real estate arm of Ayala Land) had officially announced its upcoming highrise residential tower within the Abreeza complex which is set to break ground in the middle of 2011. In fact, Alveo’s inhouse marketing arm had been aggressively recruiting locales to be part of the upcoming Alveo sales force in Davao. So Dabawenyos in the city, that’s a tip of a sideline income one may consider. 🙂
Probably, you had already bumped into online ads from so called brokers inviting investors to submit their LOIs for this project. The upcoming highrise condo is set to be atleast 30 storeys and is just a stone throw away from the mall. Well, ofcourse everything is subject to change and without the official rendering from Alveo, the number of floors in this project is yet to be confirmed. One thing is for sure though, it will be built very close to the mall.
Another confirmed component is the hotel within the Abreeza complex. By the way, when I say Abreeza, I am referring to the entire development of the upcoming Ayala Center in Davao. The construction you guys are witnessing today is just for the mall component dubbed as Abreeza. But the entire project is consist of a mall, an IT or BPO building, a residential condominium tower, and a hotel. So basically, the construction we are witnessing now is just the tip of the iceberg. 🙂
“The Abreeza complex… will draw from the successes of Ayala Center, the Cebu Business Park and other self-contained Ayala Land developments that provide those who reside and work there a harmonious live-work-play environment,” Junie Jalandoni said, vice president and group head of AHRC (Ayala Hotels and Resorts Corp)
The hotel was officially launched in January of this year. It will be a 9 storey hotel with 148 rooms. It is the first boutique hotel of AHRC or Ayala Hotel and Resorts Corp outside of Metro Manila. In Metro Manila, their boutique hotel is also underconstruction and is set to rise in Bonifacio Global City. Aside from Davao City, Ayala boutique hotels will also be built in Cagayan de Oro, Alabang, and Quezon City. Ayala Land, Inc. is aiming to close the “product gap” in the hotel industry by opening five “stylish” and “alternative” new boutique hotels costing P650 million to P850 million each.
