A New Davao Arises!

Bringing you what’s new in the city and upcoming to Davao!

2008 would be an awesome year for Davao!

The entry of jaw dropping proposals and development plans in Davao during the last quarter of 2007 marks a year to watch out for in 2008.

Construction of condominiums, malls, railroads, and bridges….just to name a few would definitely make 2008 as a busy year for Davao. Just recently, the DIDP has been reactivated and officials together with an international financing institution signed a MOA for the Davao LRT and Samal Bridge project proposal. Ayala Land also announced its intention to build Mindanao’s first Ayala BPO facility and retail project in Davao. Filinvest has just recently launched its One Oasis brand in Davao which is a complex consist of not one or two but seven, yup seven midrise condominium buildings which are stone throw away from DMCI’s 2 midrise condo buildings named ECO4000 – both projects located few steps away from a mall of the country’s largest mall chain – SM City. Few minutes from SM City Davao is Davao’s largest mall – Gmall which would soon be accompanied by another highrise hotel in Davao. Heading north is another district on the rise – the DAMOSA Gateway with an IT Park which is almost completed, a businesspark which is underconstruction, and a newly opened hotel being operated by an international hotel chain – Microtel.

So what’s in store for Davao by 2008? Alot….and with the developments in the last quarter of 2007 – Davao’s 2008 would be another great year for its residence and constituents
