The New Davao!
For the past few years, Davao has been metamorphosing and moving up to another level. Today, we see a global city on the rise. A city which is not only significant to the country’s progress but to the whole of South East Asia as well. Welcome to the New Davao.
Complementing the success that our forefathers have earned for Davao – the New Davao is a bigger, more dynamic, more important, more entrepreneurial and self sufficient global city. It is a city which has balanced quality of life and economic and social progress. It is also becoming one of the catalysts of growth in the country. The new Davao is also becoming a major business hub in South East Asia.
The baton has already been passed to the new breed of Dabawenyos. We will continue the success and will build the better, more vibrant, and stronger Davao! A city with long term economic stability as a goal not only for the city and the region but for the whole country and South East Asia as well.
A Global Davao is on the rise!

Can you also highlight DIA (airport) and its services, facilities, connectivity to local and international flights including the airlines serving the city? We air travelers are pretty interested about its comfort and advantages. We may consider not only visiting your city but also conduct business in the future. By the way, the website is really awesome and very informative.

Davao is a metropolitan city with all the charms of quality of life. A metropolitan city I learned to live and love. It is in this city that I found the positive outlook of life of the people especially the third generation of the migrants from the other parts of the country. Congratulations!

To the politicians who care so much about the growth, peace and order in that city: how about a master plan for the mass rail transit? Time to put that a top priority—that gorgeous city is growing so fast! And good on all of the inhabitants there. Yes, we need a metro there, and planning should start now…get rid of jeepneys and convert them into green vehicles. The speed of that city’s growth should be in keeping with planning and more planning. In the past, that city was called “Chopsuew city”"—meaning the absence of city planning had made that city cluttered. Now with master planners pushing for the city’s long-time existence, it’s time to look beyond jeepneys. The metro is the one for all!! Mabuhay and God bless you all!!May that city flourish and enjoy peace and order always.

My suggestions for Davao in being one of the most competitive city here in the Philippines and here in Asia are:
They must be more strict in their no-littering campaign..
To turn jeepney’s into a green-earth friendly vehicle..
To make Mass Transit Systems like MRT’s available..
To implement strict law on Pedestrian crossings..
