This is Abreeza.
Ayala Land Inc. will invest 4 to 5 billion pesos in Davao City for a premier development called Abreeza. Abreeza is the name of the first and only Ayala mall in Mindanao which will veer away from the typical mall set-up. It will be a shopping mall which will have two BPO or IT buildings for callcenter operations.
The most ambitious and biggest mixed use development project of Ayala Land in Mindanao to date, is a joint venture between ALI and Davao City based Antonio Floirendo Corp (Anflocor). ALI will allocate 4 to 5 billion pesos for this development – a major investment that proves Ayala Land’s confidence in Davao City.
Abreeza had a ceremonial ground breaking last September 23, 2008 and was attended by Anflocor and ALI big bosses that included:
- Don Antonio Floirendo Sr from Anflocor
- Ayala Land Inc. chair Fernando Augusto Zobel de Ayala
- Ayala Land Inc’s President Jaime Ayala
- Ayala Corp chair and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala II
- ALI senior vice president Ma. Victoria Añonuevo
- Anflocor SVP Ricardo Floirendo
- Anflocor chair Antonio Floirendo Jr.
- Davao City Administrator Wendel Avisado
- and other top personalities of the two real estate companies.
Abreeza’s will have:
Mall’s Gross Leasable Area – 61,000 sqm
BPO Building One – 10,000 sqm
BPO Building Two - 8,000 sqm
Abreeza’s Development Timetable
Land Development Phase – Fourth Quarter of 2008
Start of Construction – First Quarter of 2009
Mall Component:
Phase 1 – 35,000 sqm will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Phase 2 – 26,000 sqm will be completed in the third quarter of 2011.
BPO/IT Component:
BPO Building One – 10,000 sqm (5 levels) will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2009.
BPO Building Two – 8,000 sqm will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Abreeza will only consume around 7 hectares out of 10 hectares alloted for the development. The remaining 3 hectares is reserved for future developments such as a hotel.
This development will be under a joint venture company called Accendo Commercial Corp., with the following ownership structure: Anflocor – 33 percent and ALI – 67 percent.

Hi mike..thnx for visiting this blog. The last time i heard was that they were conducting a feasibility study. Also, this project proposal has to be approved by the City Council as well. There’s no prob with the investor – in fact, they are itching to invest in Davao, but we have to consider the City Council muna. For now, wait and see na lang muna tayo.

Hi Sheila C Lebria, as far as i know, Ayala is not yet looking for any admin staff. Once the project would be completed, then i believe, that’s the time when they’ll start hiring.
September 30, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Yes Mike. There will be another SM mall in Davao. It will be constructed on a 10-hectare portion of the now defunct Lanang Country Club. Ground works and clearing have already started. According to an insider, formal groundbreaking will be held on October 2008. If initial plans are pursued, the mall will look like a sprawling version of SM City Marikina

I hope Abreeza will be laid out like Greenbelt 3 – lots of open spaces with tasteful landscaping. It’s my favorite mall when I’m in Manila and I hope we would have one like it in Abreeza. Oh, and a Starbucks for my Vanilla fraps and a Fullybooked or Powerbooks will spell heaven for me!
October 10, 2008 at 9:19 am
i hope abreeza will house a powerbooks or fully-booked store… GAWSH! I would literally die if it would have one…

Wala kasi yan alam kundi magluto.

hmmn
silence means jejeje no ba?
June 19, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Haay naku as usual ang mga taga Cagayan de Oro palaging nagpapabida, eh wala namang binatbat.
Mall lang ang Ayala? Hello!
Hahahaha!
At dahil wala kayong Ayala mall dyan, kunwari pinapalabas nyo na mall LANG YAN. If I know, super tumutulo na ang mga laway nyo sa Ayala mall. Kawawa naman kayo! Hahahaha!
Tapos may SM Lanang pa kami. Naku!
Hahahaha!
Yuck mga taga Cagayan. Losers! Inggitero! Hahahaha!

Daghan trabaho diri. Di lang kay sa Abreeza. Take note nga later this year magtukod napod ang SM ug ikaduhang mall sa Lanang. Then NCCC also has its own projects in the northern part of the city.
Pili lang ka kung asa ka magtrabaho.
